KC-135s are a much less exciting mission than A-10s.

It's been a while, sorry. Both my computers are down and fixing them moved low on the priority list. A list of things you have missed:
- I am married
- I have a daughter; she turns two on the 6th
- I moved to Europe, where I will be for the next several years.

Europe is pretty cool (duh), I've only been here a week and I haven't had the opportunity to see much, but I have driven on the other side of the road and I saw London (but only because I flew into it- the airport, not literally). They have weird names for food here, like "Bangers and Mash," "Digestives" and "Spotted Dick." This morning I put 10 liters of Petrol (gas) in a rental car and it cost me $21. It was only a 1/4 tank too. I will not be buying much gas off base, I guess.
I have yet to go to a pub and get sloshed, but I hope to do that tonight. It has occured to me that this is the only time I will be here during a World Cup- I have been here 9 days already and I have yet to get my ass kicked my soccer hooligans (I guess you could say I'm a little disappointed).
I'm writing for the base paper here too, but I'm also getting my hands dirty helping with the Community Relations side of the house, which will be a nice change for me.
Katie (my wife) and I found a house for us yesterday; it's an old pub. It's got to be at least a 100 years old, but it's pretty big and modern. The houses here don't have a lot of the things Americans are used to, like uh, closets, so finding a house we liked with all the things we're used to (like washer AND dryer hook-ups) took a little bit of searching.
The house it made of stone and is gorgeous. I'll post some photos of it as soon as I get my computers fixed, which will be within the next few months, after I buy a second car. Computers have moved up on our priority list because now it is the only cost effective way we can keep in touch with our friends and family stateside. Hopefully, that will also mean more frequent posts, too.
Hope all is well with each one of you.

This is not my first LJ. I created this after my old journal of 5 years stagnated. It became a dumping ground for only the negative things in my life.
So I'm starting over with this one. I want to enjoy LJ again- I made a lot of really neat friends with my old one and I'd like to do that again with this one.

I'm at my parents' home in Palm Springs right now; I'm on vacation. I haven't done much of anything in the last week, with the exception of a short trip to San Diego where I spent much of my misspent youth. So right now, I'm enjoying being away from the Air Force- away from the PT, the politics, the horrible supervisors, the 355th Wing, dorm life, the uniform, colors, ill-fitting boots and Tucson in general. I can pick all that up where I left off on Monday.
